ABOUT KELEE

“ Kelee Katillac’s book Historic Style is brilliant and beautiful. I love seeing these places reimagined through her lens. Kelee’s ‘wow’ factor slaps you in the face and says, look at this!”

— Mike Wolfe, American Pickers, History Channel

KELEE KATILLAC is an internationally known interior and architectural designer and a historic preservation expert. She is the author of several books, including the current Historic Style: Honoring the Past with Design for Today, winner of the National Award for Coffee Table Book of the Year.

A magnum opus, the book covers her work and design philosophy from private homes to commercial spaces to museums. As a design historian, Kelee honors historic spaces while bringing fresh, modern narratives to activate them for the future.

“Clients come to me when they want their homes or public spaces to manifest something original, deep, and creative. In our collaborations, we call upon color, personal ideals and interests, and historical references. Even new custom homes or renovations can deploy historic style elements to bring soul and meaning to the project. For commercial and hospitality, our witty and bold reinventions make places that draw attention, discussion, and excitement.”

Throughout her career, Kelee has been featured on television, in print, and across the internet in over 1,000 stories highlighting her work, approach, and Design Gives Back. Including: Architectural Digest, House Beautiful, Harper’s Bazaar, The Wall Street Journal, LUXE, USA Today, CNN, The Oprah Winfrey Show, and many others.
